Cookies on this site
A cookie is a small piece of data a site stores in your browser. Control Vertex Hub uses very few. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not block briefs, field notes, or study pages.
What we use them for
The banner on your first visit asks you to accept or reject. Your choice is stored locally in the browser under the key controlvertexhub_cookie_consent. That storage is essential so we do not ask again on every page. If you accept, we may also set a visit-counting cookie so we can see whether a field note is read. If you reject, we do not set that counting cookie. The site keeps working either way.
This is not a store, and we do not use cookies to advertise settings studies on other websites.
Types
Essential. Remembering Accept or Reject, and keeping the brief form’s error messages in the page while you correct a field (no extra cookie; that state lives only for the visit).
Analytics, only if you accept. A first-party count of page views on controlvertexhub.digital. We do not send that count to an advertising network.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| controlvertexhub_cookie_consent | Stores whether you chose Accept or Reject on the banner, so the banner stays hidden. | Until you clear site data (localStorage; not a timed cookie) | Control Vertex Hub (first party) |
| controlvertexhub_visit | Counts page views after Accept. Not set if you Reject. | 13 months | Control Vertex Hub (first party) |
How to change or disable
Clear site data for controlvertexhub.digital in your browser settings. The banner will appear again and you can choose Reject. You can also block cookies entirely in the browser; the pages, maps of our study types, and the brief form still load. A blocked localStorage may mean the banner returns on each visit. That is inconvenient, not a lock-out.
Most desktop browsers offer a setting to block third-party cookies. We do not currently set third-party cookies. If we later embed a map or a font host that sets its own cookie, we will add a row to the table above and the banner will still let you reject non-essential use.
Third-party cookies
Type is loaded from Google Fonts. Google may process the technical request for the font files. That request is not our consent log. If you prefer, the layout still works with your browser’s default typefaces when remote fonts are blocked.
Images on some pages are requested from Unsplash. Unsplash may see the image request. Those requests are not a Control Vertex Hub cookie.
If you disable cookies
You can still read every page and send a brief. We may not remember your banner choice. We will not have a visit count for your session. None of the study types require a cookie to be described or commissioned.
Personal data beyond cookies is described in the privacy notice.
