Terms of engagement
These terms apply when you commission a settings study, control map, recovery session, or field observation day from Control Vertex Hub.
Acceptance
A written quote from Control Vertex Hub, accepted by email from the address you used in the brief, forms the engagement. Using this website to read about studies does not create an engagement. Sending a brief does not create one either until we confirm scope, dates, and the quoted figure in writing.
If these terms conflict with a signed letter we have both agreed, the letter wins for that engagement only.
The work
We study how people interact with control settings in a utility app you name. We do not promise a particular finding, a higher store ranking, or a redesigned settings tree. Deliverables are those listed in the quote: typically a control map, a findings memo, and a debrief of the stated length.
You must have the right to give us the build and to let testers use it. If a store account, licence, or internal policy forbids that, say so in the brief. We will not sidestep a licence.
Your materials and our notes
You keep all rights in the app, its labels, and any builds you send. We keep rights in our method, task wording, map structure, and the way we write memos. For the engagement you receive a licence to use the map and memo inside your organisation, including with a designer or engineer you hire to change the settings tree. You may not publish the memo as a marketing asset or resell it as a report on other apps.
Session notes that identify a tester stay with us. Quotes in the memo are cleared of names unless a tester has agreed otherwise in writing.
Confidentiality
Unreleased builds, unpublished labels, and complaint volumes you share are treated as confidential for two years after the debrief, unless they are already public. Testers sign a short confidentiality line when the build is not in a public store.
Payment
Fees are in Malaysian ringgit as quoted. A fifty percent deposit is due before recruitment or mapping begins. The balance is due on delivery of the memo. Late balances delay the debrief. We do not take payment through this website.
Liability
We are not responsible for store-listing outcomes, lost downloads, or engineering decisions you take after the debrief. Our liability for a given engagement is limited to the fees you have paid for that engagement, except where Malaysian law does not allow that limit (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
You are responsible for the safety of a field location you arrange. We may leave a visit if the host withdraws consent or if the room is unsafe.
Testers
Testers are engaged by us for the session. They are not your employees. Do not contact a tester after the session unless we have arranged a follow-up in the quote.
Website
Text and images on controlvertexhub.digital are provided so you can decide whether to send a brief. They are not a professional opinion on any app we have not been engaged to study. We may change pages without notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from an engagement or from use of this site, without prejudice to any non-excludable consumer rights.
