A Control Map Review is the quieter sibling of an audit. One of us installs the build, opens every reachable setting, and writes down what sits where. You receive a map, not a session recording.
For each control we record the screen path, the visible label, the default value as shipped, whether a change survives a restart, and how a person returns to the previous state. Nested screens that have no reverse control are marked as such.
This review suits a team that is about to rewrite a settings area and wants a complete inventory first, or a publisher who has inherited an app and cannot tell which toggles still do anything.
It does not replace watching people. If your question is “will anyone find this,” you need sessions. If your question is “what is even in here,” start with the map.
Delivery is a structured document and a short call to walk the oddities. We do not score the app or rank it against other titles.
